New York City!?

This past weekend P and I went to NYC. We stayed at this lovely, clean hostel (although we didn't sleep too well) and stayed out in the city that never sleeps!

Saturday we hung out with P's brother and his family who were luckily in town on business. We saw the tree at Rockefeller Center (along with 100s of others), ate lunch at an brewery with delicious beer and . . . drum roll please . . . WE SAW SANTA! That's right, for the love of the children we waited in line at Macy's so they could be photographed with Santa. And because of the crowds we also waited in line at the elevators--that's a new one for me. It was actually really fun to hang out all day regardless of the activity!

Saturday night The Grownup Noise played at The Bitter End in Greenwich Village. Pretty cool to be in the same place that Jack Kerouac, Bob Dylan and other people made artistic history. There was a great crowd and I saw some folks I haven't seen in ages.

Lovely place.

Wonder if we could afford to live there . . .
