365 days later

So I finally had my first review as PTCPL.  I.E. a supervisor.  So I strongly believe that no one should be surprised at their review--that communication is really important as well as feedback. Fortunately my two bosses (the PT Department Head and the BI Program Director) have the same belief!

No surprises.  There are things to work on and things I do well.  Overall I got a good "score" and had a nice discussion with the two of them about how things are going.  Again, no surprises, but a relief to know that two people I respect and work with regularly think I'm doing a good job.

The lifelong issue of conflict management . . . .ahhhhh if only my face didn't turn so red when I'm upset.

Congratulations on a good review with no surprises. No surprise to me, either. Let's talk about those "things to work on" sometime. Meanwhile, keep up the good work. We're all proud of you.
Love, GH

Reviews are nerve-wracking, even if you go in knowing things will be okay. I'm glad things went well and the criticism you did get was constructive. I'm impressed with the job you do; it would be so hard, physically and emotionally. It's not something you can ever phone in.
