Show and Tell

Share poetry, we all wrote this together. The trick is you could only read 1/2 a line that was written before you, complete that line then add another half. The full line was folded over so the next person only had 1/2 a line to go from. It is beautiful, one of my favorite things to do!

Here is what we wrote:

The air conditioning feels cool, but it is ruining my soul
But the light stabbed into the velvet
Do it by the 8s with protection of your heart for future reference
You should know that I like to eat circus peanuts when I see elephants dance
And perform while wearing a tutu
It inspires me to murder innocent sparrows
And steal their wings to dip in Buffalo sauce,
The spicy condiment goes well with a hot summer day ending.
He smoked,
The Cherokee chief wore his best headdress to dance around the fire
Once the sun went down, the bats emerged
And even though his leg was broken from the fall
His colon was unharmed
And just when the day couldn’t get any worse
The guitar strings snapped, the sun refused to set, and there was nothing left to do except dance along the border between turbulence and order
Then suddenly a car exploded and everyone was screaming
And in the chaos, I held my breath for too long
There is no end to living life.
