Uggggh!

It is a goal from here on out not to merely post about my day. But I am exhausted and cannot think about anything clever right now. In fact after this I'm going to bed. At 9:30 pm on a Wednesday. And I will love it.

The Grownup Noise show was AWESOME last night and we got home late. I did not drink because I find late nights + drinking make working that much more difficult the next day. So home late, sleep an hour and then our horrible hard wired fire alarm starts going off.

It is loud (as it should be, if there was really a fire I would want to be woken up. As it is it took me at least a minute to realize what was going on after Paul woke me up) AND the fire department takes about 10 minutes to arrive. Perhaps it's because they know if there was really a fire we would call and say "ACK, THERE'S REALLY A FIRE."

Instead someone in our building called and said "Our alarm is going off, can you please come turn it off." Which they did. The firemen have to turn it off because of the way it is wired into their system. Plus if you had a drowsy neighbor who turned it off there could really be a fire and everyone could, ya know, exhaust in that fire.

So there we are on the sidewalk, neighbors staring at us and even a couple young fellas wandering over to make sure everything was OK. That was pretty nice.

Needless to say when my alarm went off this morning I was not happy. I pushed through the day and then left work without finishing A LOT of paperwork. Thus the ugggggh of getting to work super early to get everything done.
