A woman I don't know that well was asking me about my biological clock. in front of friends and family, 9 months before my wedding. a subject that induces much stress between P and myself.

do i want kids?--sure, sometimes i do and sometimes i don't. i can't even imagine it at this point in my life, but i am quickly approaching 30 and am not readily prepared for a child with a genetic disorder.

do i think that nearly strangers should be discussing their biological urges and asking my about mine in a public (my apartment with many guests).

ABSOLUTELY NOT! those feelings are not feelings i express with many people. very specific and close friends (you know who you are) and only when it's really on my mind.

i found it to be an awkward and uncomfortable conversation.
