So now P and I are in the business of shopping for an automobile. as you can see, our lovely mini-van got a really serious CRUSH (way beyond a LOVE TAP as we like to call is in the city!) recently. We are not quite adults because we have to buy a used car, a cheap one that has no third row bench seat (YES another mini-van) so that we don't totally drain our finances.
But we are really adults because we realize we cannot afford to finance a new car, because that is what we would rather do. But we would struggle and more than likely not survive with a car payment AND an increase in auto insurance.
So we have to say goodbye to the car we love (it's already in scrap heap heaven) and welcome a new/used car into our family.
Sniff sniff. almost adults, almost!

you ARE adults! i can imagine how it must have felt making that first big purchase. we haven't had one just yet.
hope to see a picture of the new car.
Yikes! Were you in the car at the time?
I think having to buy a car, new or used, makes one an adult, or closer to it. The amount spent is inconsiquential. Spending a whole lot of money on a car is not necessarily a mature thing to do.
