Last night I saw a great band called Tapes 'n Tapes.
They were a lot of fun, had a very diverse crowd and great energy. The poor lead singer's voice was on the verge of silence but he still managed to pull things off. Nice job!

I agree with my friend E--songs from their second record don't have the same verve. The first album is fabulous.

As far as the diverse crowd is concerned there were many nondescript, a few hippie types and then some random guys in ball caps and t-shirts dancing like crazy. And a girl clearly on Ecstasy. She was kissing and groping any guy that came near her--including the bouncer as he was escorting her out. And her poor friend or roommate or whoever was getting her share too!

Oh boy!

Thanks for the tip! I'm listening to their MySpace page right now and I like it.

Crowd-watching at shows is always so much fun. I sometimes remember more about the people than the music.
