More movies

OK, I'll admit it.  P and I are movie addicts.  ADDICTS!  But it's so much fun.

Recent rentals:

1) The Last Winter:  It was OK.  Environmental horror movie.  The drilling in Alaska combined with global warming opens up ancient graves and ghosties.  It was fun anyway, especially if subzero weather and being trapped in a small house with other people freaks you out.  I don't do Subzero.

2) Disturbia: Recommended to us by Aunt J.  Also OK.  Not as good as we were expecting.  Definitely had it's freaky moments and some cute teenage romance humor.  Trinity from Matrix plays the mother and still wears all black.

Theatre screenings:
1) WALL-E: Recommended by my parents. It was great and a lot of fun!  Also a major environmental slant, good graphics and fun storyline.  Makes you think most certainly.

2) Hancock:  Interesting premise of a burned out, alcoholic super-hero.  First 30-45 min were awesome, creative, funny.  The last part of the movie just fell to pieces.  It didn't hold up and the CGI was only so so.  It was definitely a disappointing choice for all those actors.  Justin Bateman's acting was really good despite the failing plot.
