At last it is over, we can take a breath and hope for the future of this country.  Both candidates were so gracious in their addresses, focusing on "reaching across the aisle" and working together as a country.  McCain was tremendous--encouraging his supporters to support Obama and work towards the betterment of this country.  Although he was met by booing he continued this approach.  He was genuine and honest about the course of the election and demonstrated his patriotism clearly and beautifully.

Obama too demonstrated a respect for McCain and a desire to work together for the betterment of this country but honest that not everyone will agree with him in his approach.  I think no matter what happens this is a great demonstration of the spirit of voters when it really comes down to it and the optimism people have for the United States of America.

Just because someone is liberal or a Democrat does not automatically mean they are not patriotic and I think that the patriotism of all Americans was shining today.

Thank goodness for everyone who voted, no matter how they voted.  People used their voices tonight, the democratic process at work.
