Christmas

This year Christmas will be quiet.  The major downside of working at a hospital is that hospitals don't close for the holidays.  I love the hospital setting and I'm not ready to give that up.  In exchange I can only take time off around one holiday.  This year I chose Thanksgiving.

(Now don't feel sorry for me.  It doesn't bother me nearly as much as it bothers others).

P and I are going to make dinner--a whole chicken instead of a turkey, and all the rest of the good stuff,  watch movies and drink delicious wine.  I'm sure we're going to sleep in, late :).  I'm looking forward to hot cocoa and relaxing with my honey.

I do happily anticipate the crazy days of kids opening gifts, wrapping paper everywhere and more cookies than a human should eat.  But for now quiet is good.
