Never inconspicuous

I've been working a lot lately.

I'm trying to save money for my wedding and honeymoon and I would also like to have something leftover in savings when the whole thing is said and done.

So every other weekend I work both Saturday and Sunday.

I can't say this was the best decision, but I'm going to keep it up through the end of June and see how much I have saved . . .

We've had the misfortune of some unexpected expenditures (car crap and trips). I don't feel like I could cut back much on my workaholic days.

A couple Sundays ago I was riding the subway home from Charles/MGH. I must've looked just awful because an old woman got up and gave me her seat.

There were a few seats available if I wanted to squeeze in tightly between some folks. I didn't. But this sweet lady knew she could fit there and I could fit in her otherwise normally sized seat.

"Here, honey. Do you want to sit down."

"No. I can stand, don't worry."

"Oh no, I can sit over here. Please sit down."

Boy do I wear my heart on my sleeve.

Hey Beth, I also read this from time to time to check in and see how you are doing. (I know, I know, why don't I just call you?) Anyway, I just wanted to give you a virtual hug. I know how much it sucks to work a lot, especially when you are kind of obligated to do it. You must feel pretty beat down - I'm so sorry, sweetie. It won't last forever.

Hope you aren't buried under too much snow, or if you are, I hope you are able to have some fun with it.
